How To Draw 8-Bit Steamboat Willie (+8-Bit Theme Song)

Here’s a short instructional video on how I made this 8-bit Steamboat Willie scene. I even threw in “Steamboat Bill” in chiptune (8bit) style. Also, I modeled a 3D version of the steamboat and dropped the 2D character into a 3D environment. Hope you like it!

Despite its central role in the animation, it’s simply referred to as “the Steamboat.” This adds a touch of mystery and universality to the character of the steamboat, allowing it to symbolize the era of steamboat travel in a broader sense rather than being tied to a specific vessel.
