This public domain illustration involved recreating a drawing of Mickey and Minnie Mouse inspired by Walt Disney’s original sketch, which predates the first Mickey animated film, Plane Crazy. By referencing Disney’s early concept art, I captured the simpler design of the characters as they appeared in their initial form, preserving the vintage spirit of the 1920s animation style.
