I decided to draw a brand new poster for the good ol’Steamboat Willie short film. My main goal was to keep things real close to the vibe of those classic posters from back in the day, that old-school charm. So, I went for this cool duotone style coloring, giving it that authentic vintage look.  I layered it with a vintage paper background and added some vintage distressed textures on top. The end result? A poster that takes you right back to the golden era of animation.

FUN FACT: “Steamboat Willie” premiered on November 18, 1928, at the Colony Theatre in New York City. It was initially intended to be a standalone short film, but its instant success led to the development of more Mickey Mouse cartoons and solidified Disney’s place in animation history.
