An updated and colored title card for the first three Mickey Mouse cartoons (Plane Crazy, The Gallopin’ Gaucho, and Steamboat Willie). I used Procreate with the Apple Pencil for drawing (on iPad Pro), Photoshop for coloring and composition, and Final Cut Pro for editing.
In the original “Steamboat Willie” title card, Mickey Mouse is depicted holding a walking cane and a hat in his hands. This detail adds an extra touch of sophistication and style to Mickey’s character, setting the tone for the adventurous antics that unfold in the cartoon. A fun fact about the original title card is that it features Mickey Mouse wearing gloves. However, in the actual cartoon, Mickey didn’t wear gloves. This discrepancy between the title card and the cartoon itself is a charming quirk that adds to the nostalgia surrounding this animation.
